Expressive Arts Therapy

We will use visual arts, music, movement/dance, drama/theater, writing/journaling, and even nature to journey into the experiences you want to process, accept, or let go of. Expressive Arts Therapy is very experiential.

We will work together to shift and change methods depending on your needs and experiences in the session. I see this modality as an alternate door to the house that we use when we forgot the key to the front door. Sometimes we will solely use Expressive Arts during therapy. Sometimes we will use a combination of talk and Expressive Arts therapy. 

Expressive Arts Therapy utilizes different methods to arrive to the solution through the arts without centering in the problem. Remember art is not restricted to a time period or a museum. Art is created daily with our words, hands, movements, etc. We will engaged in art making and go at your pace and within your process.
