Can you work with clients anywhere in the country?

Therapists can only provide services in the state they are licensed. Therefore, I only provide services in the state of California.

How do I know we are a good fit?

We can schedule a free 20 minute consultation (by zoom or phone) where I will answer any questions you might have about the therapeutic process, my approaches or modalities, insurance, payments, availability, scheduling, etc. We will also discuss why you are seeking therapy, your expectations, and commitment.

How often will our sessions be?

Sessions are usually once a week. I ask for new clients that they commit to weekly sessions until they can see/feel progress. We can continue weekly until the end of treatment if we feel that is beneficial. I may recommend an increase or decrease in sessions depending on what you need/want.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes, this service is provided to all clients living in the state of California.

  • What do I need for a session? An electronic device, a private space and good internet connection. 

  • Can anyone do online therapy? It depends on the situation that is presented. After completing the assessment, we will be able to determine if online counseling is an option of treatment for you. I will make clinical recommendations and provide you with referrals if you do not qualify for online therapy or would prefer to attend sessions near your location. 

  • Are the rates different for online counseling? It does not cost more to do online counseling/tele-therapy. The cost and length is the same as in-person sessions.  

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Everyone is unique in their therapeutic process. Some of us could be in therapy for 3-6 months while others can be in therapy longer. It depends on what you are seeking to address, your participation and commitment, frequency of sessions, and your goals, among other factors.
